As the US continues to get pushed out of Syria, albeit with some caveats (among them its occupation of important farmland and oil facilities in the country’s northeast), it continues the hunt after its main regional quarry, Iran.

With the recent use of Iraq as a staging area for the assassination of Iranian general Quasam Soleimani and immediate retaliation from Iran, we’re beginning to see the next phase of the US attempt to impose its will in the Middle East.
